| | Bay Area Theatre Meeting
Well, last night a group of about
14 theatre artists met at the Magic Theatre to discuss the state of
theatre (official title of the meeting was "Searching for a
Soul"). Where was everyone else? At the immigrant march? In
rehearsals or at a reading? Maybe.
It was a start. And at least our
conversation was with committed artists. These sorts of things have to
start small. The conversation went from 6-9pm, I took a lot of notes
and today I need to make sure all the attendees are added to the SFNope
Listserv so we can start gathering on a monthly basis to discuss the
issues that are important to us.
Update on IWL: Tonight at
Intersection for the Arts there's a reading and I should go, but I'm
tired of going out and just want to stay in one night and relax a bit.
I have workshop this Saturday.
